New Class for the fall semester: Current Science Seminar!
Are you interested in scientific topics? Do you like learning about and discussing slices of how the world works and digging deeper into fascinating observations of the world around us? If so, this class might be for you.
This class meets by LIVE SESSION (Google Meet) Monday mornings at 10:00am.
In each session, we will discuss one or more topics relating to science. Topics may be pulled from recent news stories, selected from recently (or not so recent but relevant) published studies, or chosen by the teacher (or students) for their interesting and scientific value. Most sessions will not require advanced preparation.
Students will participate in the online presentations in a safe, casual, and fun environment, and then complete a one paragraph reflection/reaction after each session.
Students will also create their own mini-presentation on a topic they choose (with teacher approval).
