The September 14 Day at the Dunes field trip was a lot of fun! Mr Oden, Mr Naranjo and Mr Huff enjoyed spending the day at Great Sand Dunes National Park with six MVOLA students and their families, making for a total of 16 participants. It was great for the teachers to have the chance to spend the time with students and their families.
Mr Oden led the trip, beginning with a hike out into the dunes where he presented a Hands in the Sand activity, full of interesting info about the dunes including memorable hands-on activities. Students then had time to explore the dunes, followed by a great BBQ lunch and presentation from two park rangers who work at the national park. We look forward to having you join us on future field trips!
