WELCOME to the 23-24 School Year. We are glad you are part of the MVOLA and DELTA family!

This week is orientation for MVOLA and registration for DELTA.

MVOLA students… teachers will be calling all new students for orientation on Monday or Tuesday.

PARENTS and students…Here are some pointers for a successful Online School year…

Establish a Dedicated Learning Space: Creating a designated area for learning helps set the stage for academic success. Choose a quiet and well-lit space where your child can focus on their studies comfortably. Personalize the space with motivational posters or study aids to make it more inviting and conducive to learning.

Organize Supplies and Materials: Make sure you have a reliable computer or laptop (contact Tish at 719-852-2212 if you have questions about using a school issued chrome book), a high-speed internet connection, headphones, notebooks, pens, and any other materials required by the curriculum. Having everything on hand from day one will prevent last-minute stress.

Familiarize Yourself with the Learning Platform: If your child is new to cyber schooling, take the time to explore the learning platform together. Get acquainted with its features, such as accessing lessons, submitting assignments, and engaging in virtual classrooms. Understanding the platform's layout will make navigating through the coursework more seamless.

Create a Daily Schedule: While cyber education offers flexibility, having a consistent daily schedule is essential for effective time management. Work with your child to create a routine that includes study hours, breaks, and extracurricular activities. A well-balanced schedule will foster discipline and help maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Set Academic and Personal Goals: Sit down with your child to set realistic academic goals for the upcoming year. Encourage them to aim high but remain achievable. Additionally, discuss personal growth goals to foster character development and boost self-confidence.

Establish Communication with Teachers: In the virtual learning environment, communication plays a vital role. Encourage your child to actively engage with their teachers, ask questions, and seek clarification whenever needed. Building strong teacher-student relationships contributes to a more enriching learning experience.

Encourage Social Interaction: While cyber schooling offers flexibility, it's essential to create opportunities for socialization. Encourage your child to participate in virtual clubs, group projects, and events organized by the school and CCCF.

Prioritize Mental and Physical Well-being: Ensure your child takes regular breaks to relax and recharge. Encourage physical activities and outdoor time to promote a healthy lifestyle. Mental and physical well-being are crucial for maintaining focus and enthusiasm in the learning process.

We are excited to support you throughout your back-to-school journey. Remember that open communication, patience, and a positive attitude go a long way in making this academic year a remarkable one. Wishing you all a fantastic and productive year of online learning!

Have a great school year, and remember to always call us if you have any questions. 719-852-2212
