Hello students, we recently installed some Moodle updates, which provide better security and enhanced speed when switching between pages. As with all tech updates, some things may take some getting used to. Reach out to Mr Huff if you find anything you aren't sure about.
A main thing that has changed from the teacher perspective is the way Google Drive submissions are received. Whereas we used to receive links to Google Docs, Google Slides presentations, Google Drawings, etc., Moodle now converts those submissions to PDF files. This is fine for almost every type of submission. But for Google Slides that convert to a PDF file, some formatting may be lost. If you are ever submitting a Google Slides presentation to a teacher, please go ahead and submit it in Moodle where it will be converted to a PDF. But if you have formatting like transitions or animations that you want the teacher to see, you can also share those Google Slides presentations to the teacher by email.
