Welcome to Week 11 of the Spring 2018 Semester!

Welcome to April! The weather in the San Luis Valley is finally starting to warm up and feel like spring!

Note that in the schedule above, the week of April 16th is marked as state testing. Some state testing will begin next week. Don't panic if your testing is next week. Teachers have been notified that students may be flip-flopping next week and the week after depending upon when testing occurs. Either way, the schedule has a week built-in for testing (OLA staff do not feel it is fair to expect students to test and do work simultaneously). Students who opt out of testing, there will be no penalty, and OLA staff encourage any students opting out of testing to use their extra time wisely.

This week's highlights:

  • Specific state testing information will be released later this week. Please see the announcement before this one (from last Thursday) regarding general testing information.
  • 3rd Quarter Progress Reports will be mailed out this week. Please be on the lookout for them later this week and early next week. High school students, remember that these quarterly grades do not go on transcripts, but the end of the semester grades do.
  • Graduating seniors will receive an email that directs them to RSVP for graduation, as well as provide the school with information for diplomas as well as sizes for caps and gowns.

Thank you for everyone's third quarter effort and success! Here's to finishing the year with the same positive inertia and follow-through!
