Join Mr. Oden for Colorado Mammal Reintroductions, a live online session.

Did you know that elk were almost completely eliminated from Colorado by 1900? Now Colorado has the highest population of elk of any U.S. state. How and why did this happen?

In this live online session learn about ten mammal species that disappeared from Colorado and then were later reintroduced. Through our exploration of these ten mammal species, we will consider the success of these reintroductions and discuss reasons for and against these reintroductions. And, we will discuss the pros and cons of a reintroduction that (so far) is not being considered - the grizzly bear!  No advanced preparation is required for this activity; just show up ready to learn.

This live session will begin at 10:00am, Monday, April 6.
