Welcome to Week 3 of the spring semester! No major announcements this week other than to inform everyone that fall semester report cards were mailed home at the end of last week. On behalf of the OLA staff, I apologize that the district's grading program (Infinite Campus) had a glitch in its grade point average figuring, so middle school and high school students won't be receiving honor roll or straight A's awards until we can fix the program bug. We'll get these awards out as soon as we can, and thank you to everyone for your understanding. I hope many of you take an opportunity to celebrate your hard work and success!
Just as a FYI (for your information), congratulations for being just about half-way through winter! This Saturday (Feb. 2) marks the approximate half-way point between the winter solstice and spring equinox; not all, but many Americans celebrate this day as Groundhog Day. Whether you celebrate Groundhog Day or not, have a great week, and here's to being half-way through winter this weekend. -Mr. Wright
