Welcome to Week 7 of the Fall 2018 Semester!
Pic of sand dunes with aspen in the background. Taken last week at Great Sand Dunes National Park by NPS Ranger Patrick Myers.
This morning it was frosty (several degrees below freezing), and currently there is a thick white blanket of snow above treeline!
Welcome to Week 7 of the fall 2018 semester! Great job everyone logging into classes on Wednesday, "Count Day"! Hopefully the Colorado Department of Education is satisfied with our records so far. Thank you!
Heads up, we are now just two weeks away from finishing first quarter. First quarter will be over on Thursday, October 18, 2018. Remember that quarterly report cards will be mailed home the week of October 29th.
On a somber note, last week our region suffered the loss of an 8th grade student; the young lady was currently attending a regional brick & mortar middle school, but just last year she was an OLA student. Parents and students, please remember that you are loved and the staff of OLA are a resource, like extended family, and if you ever feel depressed or isolated, please reach out to someone you trust for support. Know that the staff of OLA is here for you, and you can always reach out to your adviser, a teacher, Counselor Dave, or myself if you ever need to.
Thank you, Mr. Wright
