Field Trip Opportunity: Each year in February, the Colorado Coalition of Cyberschool Families hosts a "Day at the Capitol" in Denver. This event offers online students from all over the state a chance to take part in morning activities at the Colorado History Center, an ability to express our support for online education at the state capitol building, and possibly a chance to tour the historic capitol building itself.
If you are interested in joining Mr. Huff and Mr. Dawson on this trip, we will leave Monte Vista in the morning on Wednesday, February 5th, taking a school bus to the event in Denver. We will return that same day, arriving back in Monte Vista in the evening. The field trip is FREE. We may be able to pick up students in the Alamosa, Pueblo, and/or Colorado Springs areas if there is interest.
Please contact Mr. Huff before Monday, January 20th if you are interested in joining in on this fun day! This is necessary so that we may register the number of students we'll be bringing. More info about the event is available HERE. (If you intend to travel to this event on your own, you may also register to do so HERE; please let Mr. Huff know of your intention to attend so the students who attend can meet you there).
