2018 Day At The Capitol!

Every year in mid February, students, parents, and staff of online schools converge on the Colorado State Capitol steps to rally in support of school choice as well as participate in the opportunity to lobby our state legislators to continue supporting online education. This day is referred to by the Colorado Cyberschool Association as the Day At The Capitol (DATC).

Each year, out of the hundreds of students attending the event, a few students are asked to represent the thousands of online students across the state. This year, one of OLA's own seniors, Grace Steele, was one of the speech makers!

On behalf of all the OLA staff and families, thank you Grace for representing and honoring us all (both OLA students as well as all online students)! Thank you very much to all the OLA students and parents who participated in this year's DATC! Thank you to Mr. Huff for always leading the DATC, and although he could not make it physically this year, thank you to Mr. Huff for coordinating OLA's participation in DATC.
