Danielle Gibbs - Math Instructor

Mrs. Gibbs is new to the Delta/OLA but not Monte Vista School District or even Colorado. She grew up in a small town close to the Kansas border before moving to the San Luis Valley for college at Adams State University. She loved it so much she has never left.

Mrs. Gibbs started her teaching career as a 6th grade Language Arts teacher at Monte Vista Middle School, then switched to 6th Grade Math for a few years before transferring. She is excited to be working as the Delta/OLA Math Instructor!

Outside of school, you can see Mrs. Gibbs at the bowling alley where she is on two leagues, or taking a stroll with her husband, son Kael, and dog Bentley! She loves to fish, hike, and play softball and volleyball.

Dave Davoudlarian - School Counselor

Counselor Dave has been with MVOLA and the Delta Center since 2017. He and his family were previously in Alaska, where they had many adventures. Before that they lived in Minnesota. Dave and his wife are both from the Washington, DC area where they spent more than 3 decades before deciding to move on.

Dave enjoys being outside with his wife, 3 daughters, and more than enough pets for a small petting zoo. Dave and his wife also own Alamosa Small Animals where they spend their spare time tending to reptiles, various arachnids, amphibians, and small rodents.

Dirk Oden - Science Instructor

Dirk Oden is a semi-retired former science teacher and prior director of the DELTA Center and On-Line Academy. In addition to fifteen years of teaching in the traditional classroom, he has worked in the online environment as a teacher, curriculum developer, or administrator for over twenty years. He enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, and wildlife photography, and is an avid pickleball player.  He is thrilled to be teaching science this year for the DELTA Center and On-Line Academy.
