On Friday evening, I attended the regional San Luis Valley science fair awards ceremony, and I am very proud to announce that a regional OLA student, Tiffany Sparrow, won Second Place in the Middle School Consumer Sciences category! OUTSTANDING work Tiffany! We're proud and honored you represented us, and congratulations on your prestigious award!

- Today and tomorrow, administrators and teachers from several small, rural school districts from around Colorado are visiting the Monte Vista School District to review how we conduct business. M.V.S.D. is known for being a student-centered system, so many schools are interested in our methods and colloboration (for more information about the consortium of schools participating in student-centered methods, please see this website about "SCAP": [SCAP LINK]
- Sunday, March 11th (this upcoming Sunday) is the start of Daylight Savings Time. Don't forget to "spring forward" your clocks one hour Saturday night!
