This course will focus on the role of the United States in the world from 1865 through the present. First semester will take us from 1865 through the 1930's. We will review the U.S. Civil War and will then move through the periods of post-war Reconstruction, the Progressive Era, World War I, the Roaring Twenties, and the Great Depression.
